Terror's Advocate is a 2007 documentary about the life and times of famous (and equally infamous) defense lawyer and political personality, Jacques Vergès. The film was directed by Barbet Schroeder and produced by Rita Dagher with a chilling score by Jorge Arriagada. The film intimately but stoically documents the many questionable deeds of Verges legal career. Verges was brought up by a French diplomat of extremely liberal philosophical persuasions. He soon became a communist of extreme persuasions himself and went on to earn a law degree. He was primarily known for defending war criminals, such as Khieu Samphan of the Khmer Rouge, former Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie and Holocaust denier R. Garaudy.
Terror's Advocate is a 2007 documentary with a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.1 and a MetaScore of 75.
