Texas Lady is a classic western film from 1955, directed by Tim Whelan and starring Claudette Colbert, Barry Sullivan, and Ray Collins. The film tells the story of a fiercely independent woman named Prudence Webb (played by Claudette Colbert) who inherits a cattle ranch in Texas after the death of her father. Prudence is determined to prove that she is just as capable as any man when it comes to running a ranch. However, she soon finds herself facing many obstacles, including a corrupt businessman named Studd (played by Ray Collins) who wants to take over her land.

Desperate to save her ranch, Prudence hires a cowboy named Angus (played by Barry Sullivan) to help her defend her property. Angus proves to be a loyal and capable ally, but Prudence finds herself falling for him as well.

As the two work together to protect the ranch, they encounter a number of challenges, including a band of outlaws who are determined to steal Prudence's cattle. Prudence and Angus must use all of their intelligence and resourcefulness to outwit the thieves and keep their ranch and livelihood intact.

Along the way, Prudence also discovers that there is more to life than just work and independence. She begins to realize that she has feelings for Angus and that it is possible to be both strong and vulnerable at the same time.

Throughout the film, Claudette Colbert delivers a strong and convincing portrayal of Prudence. She perfectly captures the character's determination and independence, while also showing her softer side as she falls in love with Angus.

Barry Sullivan is equally impressive as Angus, delivering a performance that is both rugged and charming. He and Colbert have great chemistry on screen, making their romantic scenes all the more convincing.

Ray Collins is also excellent as the villainous Studd. He brings just the right amount of sleaze and malice to the character, making him a perfect foil for Prudence and Angus.

Overall, Texas Lady is a classic western that features great performances, solid action, and a compelling romance. It is a must-see for fans of the genre, as well as for anyone who enjoys a good story about perseverance, love, and the wild west.
