Thaandavam is a 2012 Tamil action-thriller movie starring Vikram, Jagapathi Babu, Anushka Shetty, Amy Jackson, and Lakshmi Rai. It is directed by the renowned director A. L. Vijay and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. The movie is beautifully shot and visually stunning, thanks to the cinematographer Nirav Shah. The movie is about a RAW agent named Shiva who is on a mission to hunt down the men responsible for the death of his wife Meera and unborn child. The movie starts with a bomb blast in London, which kills many innocent people. The blame falls on the Tamil Nadu Liberation Army, a terrorist organization that aims to create a separate Tamil nation. The Indian government, in response, sends Shiva to London to track down the people responsible for the blast.

Shiva is helped by a British police officer named Sarah Vinayagam (played by Amy Jackson), who is of Indian origin. Together, they unravel a series of clues that lead them closer to the terrorists. Shiva uses his exceptional hearing abilities to decipher conversations that take place during secret meetings between the terrorists.

Meanwhile, in India, a parallel track runs where a retired police officer named Boopathy Pandian (played by Nasser) is investigating a series of murders that seem to be connected to the London blast.

The movie takes a surprising turn when Shiva's true identity is revealed, and his mission becomes personal. The movie takes you on a thrilling ride as Shiva sets out to avenge the death of his wife and unborn child. The action sequences in the movie are superbly choreographed and leave you at the edge of your seat.

Anushka Shetty plays the role of a Bharatanatyam dancer named Meenakshi who falls in love with Shiva. She brings a lot of emotional depth to the movie with her portrayal of a woman who has lost her lover. Her dance sequences are a visual treat and add to the aesthetic appeal of the movie.

The movie deals with themes of revenge, loss, and patriotism. The story is well written, and the performances of the actors are top notch. The music of the movie, composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, is another highlight of the movie. The songs are melodious and add to the overall experience of the movie.
