The Bleeding is a 2009 film that was directed by Charlie Picerni and starred Michael Matthias, Vinnie Jones, and Nancy Young. The movie is an action-packed horror film that follows the life of an ex-military soldier who finds himself involved in a very dangerous situation involving a group of vampires. The film begins with Shawn Black, played by Michael Matthias, returning home from a tour in Afghanistan. He is greeted at the airport by his sister, Alice, played by Nancy Young, and his friend, Jake, played by Michael Madsen. They are all happy to see him and glad that he made it back home safely.

However, something is not quite right with Shawn, and it shows during the day of his homecoming party. He appears to be having some vivid nightmares which threaten to plunge him into a realm of madness. Later that day, he stumbles upon a strange nightclub where he witnesses some shocking and gruesome scenes.

It is here that he meets Eve, played by Kat Von D, who tells him about the vampires that have been stalking and preying on humans for centuries. She is one of the few remaining slayers who have been fighting against the vampires for many years. She also reveals to Shawn that his sister Alice has been kidnapped by the vampires, intended to be used as bait to lure him in.

Shawn decides to take matter into his own hands and together with Eve, they set out to rescue his sister from the clutches of the vampires. It is not an easy quest, as the vampires are powerful foes who will stop at nothing to protect their domain.

Vinnie Jones stars as the villainous vampire leader Cain in the film. He is a ruthless and powerful vampire who enjoys torturing and killing humans. However, as the movie goes on, we learn more about his past and his reasons for becoming a vampire.

One of the standout features of The Bleeding is its excellent action sequences. The movie is packed with intense fight scenes and impressive gun fights. These sequences are well-choreographed and executed with skill, making them a highlight of the film.

Another aspect that stands out is Michael Matthias’s performance as Shawn Black. The actor is able to convey a complex range of emotions, from his traumatic past to his fierce determination to save his sister. Throughout the movie, we see his character evolve and become more determined in his mission to defeat the vampires.

The Bleeding also features some great special effects which help to create a believable and terrifying world of vampires. From the transformation sequences to the gory fight scenes, the effects are well-done and add to the overall experience of the movie.

In terms of criticisms, some may argue that the movie’s plot is fairly formulaic and predictable. It follows a traditional hero’s journey, with a clear definition between the good guys and the bad guys. There are also some instances of clunky dialogue and exposition, which can detract from the overall experience of the film.

Overall, The Bleeding is an enjoyable horror/action movie that offers plenty of blood, guts, and excitement. It is not a ground-breaking film by any means, but it delivers on its promise of thrilling action and horror. Fans of vampires, action movies, and horror will likely find something to enjoy in The Bleeding.

The Bleeding is a 2011 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 22 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.0.
