In this 1964 Hong Kong Cinema movie, Lin Shao-teh's father has betrothed him to Wang Chien-king who is the daughter of a rich man. However, trouble arises when Shao-teh's father dies and leaves the family impoverished. Wang Chun, the father of the intended bride, forces an annulment of the betrothal. However, Chien-king's plans differ from those of her father.
