The movie "The Fifth Estate" is a very recent 2013 film. It was directed by Bill Condon and produced by Steve Golin, Brad Dorros and Michael Sugar. The film is considered a drama thriller film and also a true story based on the events of exposing news and information surrounding the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange. Benedict Cumberbatch is the starring role of the film as Assange himself, with Daneil Bruhl filling out a supporting character role as Daniel Berg as the former spokesperson of WikiLeaks. The basic story involves both Assange and Berg teaming up to develop a method where people can leak vital top-secret information to the public anonymously.

As the two continue this over time, they eventually come across extremely detailed confidential information from the United States and end up debating whether the benefits of leaking it outweigh the consequences. It also happens to put a strain on their relationship together also.

Most of the script of The Fifth Estate also happens to be taken directly from Berg's own book entitled "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange and the World's Most Dangerous Website."

The Fifth Estate is a 2013 drama with a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 49.
