This documentary film examines the lives and struggles of marijuana farmers in Northern California. They are common people that grow cannabis to try and provide an income for their families in an area with a struggling economy. The practice of outdoor marijuana cultivation has been prevalent in this area of California for years, but they still must deal with many challenges. The growers have to contend with thieves taking the plants and animals eating and causing damage to the crops. Despite the recent changes in marijuana laws these growers have to deal with harassment and arrests from federal law enforcement agencies.
