The Hidden II is a sci-fi action-thriller released in 1993, directed by Seth Pinsker and starring Raphael Sbarge as Cliff, Kate Hodge as Kim, and Jovin Montanaro as Joey. The movie is a sequel to the 1987 cult classic The Hidden, with a storyline that continues to be riddled with mystery, action, and suspense. The movie starts with a mysterious alien entity that has taken over the body of a man, who goes on a killing spree in Los Angeles. The authorities start investigating the murders, but they soon figure out that a new alien has taken refuge in the city, and this time, it is even more dangerous than its predecessor.

The only hope of tracking down the extraterrestrial menace lies with Cliff and Kim, two FBI agents who are called upon to investigate the strange murders. Joey, the confused son of the original alien's host from the first movie, accidently discovers the new alien's presence in the city, and the three set out to catch the creature before it destroys everything in its path.

As they dig deeper into the case, the two agents discover that the alien is seeking out a host body to merge with, and it has already taken over a number of people in the city. This realization makes their task even more daunting, as they have no way of knowing the real identity of the creature or the numerous bodies it may have infected.

Cliff and Kim are running against the clock, trying to prevent the alien from finding a suitable host, while battling the police and the FBI as they get in their way. The alien is shown to possess supernatural abilities like telekinetic powers, superhuman strength and agility, making it nearly impossible to catch it.

Amidst the chaos and the tension, there are moments of humor and light-heartedness, especially when Joey tries to convince his girlfriend about the existence of aliens while they are on the run. The chemistry between the three protagonists is palpable, and the acting is spot-on, with each actor delivering their lines with precision and panache.

The movie is shot in a gritty, dark style that perfectly captures the mood of the story, while the special effects, especially the creature design, are impressive considering the time period of the film. Further adding to the eerie atmosphere is the haunting musical score by Michael Convertino.

Overall, The Hidden II is an excellent sequel that does justice to its predecessor, thanks to a well-written script, a talented cast, and strong direction. Even viewers who haven't seen the original movie can enjoy it as a standalone sci-fi thriller.
