The House That Ananda Built is an Academy Award nominated Indian short documentary film. In an attempt to portray the everyday life of the average Indian, the film documents Anada Karan, a man from a typical Oriya family that lives just outside of Nadpur Village in the Mayurbhanj District. The film follows not only Anada, but other members of his family as well as they work and live all in the same home.
