The Coen Brothers have put together this film that is a bit of a take on Trading Places. Tim Robbins stars as a buffoon who works in the mail room. One day, the executives at his company have an idea. They will use Robbins and his stupidity to run their company. They believe that having a yes man at the top of the company will make life easier, but murder and intrigue ensue. This movie also stars Charles Durning and Paul Newman as executives who are hell bent on getting their way even in the face of disaster.
Character actor and Golden Globe winner Charles Durning passed away on Christmas Eve. He was 89. You might recognize the man from a variety of movies and television shows. He has appeared in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” “One Fine Day,” “The Hudsucker Proxy,” “Tootsie,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” and “The Sting.” Durning may have shown up just about everywhere in Hollywood, but he had a little-known but fascinating life before he entered acting.
