Stuffy Los Angeles businessman Julian Wright (Jason Clarke) is recently separated from his wife and absorbed in his work in this film directed by Jada Pinkett Smith. Although he's successful in business, Julian isn't happy with his personal life. He meets a seductive woman named Michael (Paz Vega), who happens to be strangely enticing. Michael finds Julian fascinating and convinces him to explore a more uninhibited lifestyle. However, things soon become complicated for Julian. His PR firm is seeking an arrangement with a top company with a penchant for traditional values. Helping his firm land a deal with this company means lots of money and a big boost in his professional status. He decides to make his personal life look good by putting his divorce on hold. As other family issues surface, Julian struggles to keep it together. While Julian put his involvement with Michael on the back burner, she's not so willing to be quickly pushed aside for the sake of convenience. Can Julian pull off this charade and enhance his career potential or will the stress of keeping up appearances be too much? While Julian was initially intrigued by Michael's impulsive nature, it could ultimately be his undoing.
