Erik had a successful career as a police officer in Stockholm, after shooting a man he is traumatized and given the opportunity to return to his hometown in a small community in the north of Sweden. Returning to the small town Erik is haunted by memories of his abusive father and struggles to solve the problem of an illegal hunt that is poaching reindeer and moose in large numbers. As he investigates the case, Erik becomes convinced his brother Leif plays a key role in the poaching.
