The Job is an action crime drama that was written and directed by Kenny Golde. Produced by Daniel and Marc Levin, the film features Daryl Hannah, Brad Renfro, Dominique Swain, Eric Mabius and Alex Rocco. The film follows professional hit woman, CJ March (played by Daryl Hannah) who has been hired to find a stash of dope that amounts to around 4 kilos and worth about half a million dollars. Unfortunately, before she could get the drugs back to her boss, Vernon (played by Alex Rocco) - it was switched by thugs and they took the loot.
Roger (played by Shawn Woods) is the one who switched the drugs and is killed by Troy Riverside and Emily Robin (played by Brad Renfro and Dominque Swain) - the two that Roger tried to sell the dope to.
CJ March is on the case and is on the way to finishing them off when she hesitates because she sees that Emily is about to give birth. During this situation, she is almost killed herself.
CJ meets a guy named Rick (played by Eric Mablus) drinking at a bar one night. She is trying to relax after her recent harrowing situation with Emily and Troy. Since she finds out that Rick is an ex-priest, she rebuffs him.
We learn through flashbacks that CJ had been subjected to a great deal of violence, at least from the time that she was seven years old. This had a great impact upon her, making her isolated, alone and weary of trusting anyone in any way.
In the end, CJ is rescued by Rick, the former priest. It seems that he was only interested in helping her, seeing that she could use a friend. He helps her to turn her life around and live a more meaningful life. She gets counseling to reconcile her childhood and goes on to mentor others.
