The Mirror is a psychological thriller movie that was released in 2013. The movie follows the story of three college students who decide to participate in a research study to earn some quick cash. The three friends, Leah (played by Hannah Levien), Nick (played by Taylor McCluskey), and Natalie (played by Danielle Parker) are chosen to participate in the study which is being conducted by Dr. Philip Meyer (played by William Dickerson). The students are asked to spend a week in an isolated cabin where they will be observed through a two-way mirror.

Initially, the students feel excited about the opportunity to make some easy money, but soon they start experiencing strange and unsettling events in the cabin. They begin to feel as though they are constantly being watched and that there is something sinister about the experiment they are participating in.

As the days go by, the tension between the three friends starts to build, and they begin to suspect that Dr. Meyer is not telling them the whole truth about the study. They become increasingly paranoid as they delve deeper into their surroundings, and the film keeps you guessing until the final reveal.

The movie is a slow-burning thriller, with excellent performances from the lead cast. Taylor McCluskey's portrayal of Nick is especially noteworthy, as his character serves as the central focus of much of the movie's tension. Hannah Levien and Danielle Parker are also great in their respective roles, giving the film a solid foundation from which to build.

The director, Arthur Reyes, does an exceptional job of building suspense, and the use of the two-way mirror is a clever and effective device that adds to the film's tension. The cinematography is excellent, with some stunning shots of the cabin and its surroundings.

The Mirror delves into themes of paranoia, voyeurism, and the dangers of scientific experimentation. It is a tense and gripping film that will keep you guessing until the end. The director's skillful use of atmospheric tension creates an almost palpable sense of dread as we watch the characters become increasingly isolated and desperate.

The ending of the film is satisfyingly creepy, and there are several haunting images that will stick with you long after the credits have rolled. Overall, The Mirror is an excellent psychological thriller that will appeal to fans of slow-burn horror and anyone who enjoys a good mystery. It is a solid debut from director Arthur Reyes, and one that is well worth checking out.
