Watch The Sons of Great Bear

This East German western takes a fresh look at the many battles that took place between the Native American people and the forces of the US Government towards the end of the 19th century. A Native American called Tokei-ihto looks to build a better life for his people, starting with the discovery of a gold mine that attracts the attention of a US criminal called Red Fox. During the battles with Crazy Horse, Tokei-ihto has risen to become a commander of the Native American forces, but looks to end the conflict peacefully, not thinking Red Fox still looms large.
