The Town is a crime drama film that came out in the year 2010. The movie was one of the better films of that year and got lots of critical praise. This movie is about a bank robber in Boston who is looking to get out of the occupation. During the movie he meets a woman who he falls in love with and therefore gets very conflicted as he still needs to be devoted to his bank robbing associates. In the film a FBI agent is hunting him and his crew down and finally get them. However he escapes and moves to Florida. The Town is a movie that will likely appeal to people who enjoy movies about crime and personal relationships.
One day a group of bank robbers dressed in masks break into a bank. One of the robbers looks at a woman and tells her to open up the safe to provide them the money. They steal the money stored at the bank and then leave. The bank robbers meet with their bosses and wait for the next assignment. During this time the robbers live their daily lives. However the FBI is investigating them as they suspect that they are the ones who have pulled off a number of robberies recently. One day one of the robbers meets with the woman he saw at the bank and they begin to have a romantic relationship together. Over the course of the film the robbers pull off another heist and are pursued by the local police. They succeed in their operation and escape. Eventually the woman who is dating one of the robbers finds out that he is a criminal and therefore gets upset. She doesn't want to see him anymore due to him not letting her know of this. She is also troubled by the fact that the FBI accused her of lying to them after she told them she had no idea who the robber was despite being romantically involved with him. Later on in the film the robbers get information of their greatest heist yet. They plan to rob the Boston Red Sox Major League Baseball team during a game against their arch rival the New York Yankees. The FBI and the Boston police catch the robbers and a shootout ensues. All of the bank robbers get killed except for the leader. He manages to escape and confronts his superiors. The robber kills them and decides to move to Florida. In the end he reconciles with the woman he was dating and gives her some money to start up a charitable hockey rink in his mother's name. At the same time the FBI have her wait for him to come over as a trap to get him arrested. However he doesn't fall for the play and he then moves to Florida to live comfortably there.
