The Usual Children is a British film from 1997. On the night prior to Christmas, Dad is tasked with getting his son, Scoop, and daughter, Hela, from arguing, bickering, and fighting. Scoop despises his sibling and wishes that she would just drop dead. Christmas day comes with a weird and magical twist; everything the siblings wish or speak occurs. Hela reasons that if her brother wishes her dead, then she can at least get revenge by haunting him as a ghost. As Scoop spends more time in a world of his own making, he grows to miss rules and Hela.
