Watch They Came for Good
- 2001
This 2001 documentary by acclaimed film director, Amram Nowak, chronicles the history of Jewish emigrants during the founding of the United States of America, as well as their subsequent contributions to the country. The film is split into two different parts, which were both shown separately on television. Part 1 focuses on the early days of the Jewish emigrants in America, where anti-Semitic feelings ran rampant and the everyday life of the common Jew was a battle. Part 2 changes topics by switching to the stories behind the creation of the Reform and Orthodox schools of Judiasm. The latter portion of part 2 looks to the future and sees what modern day contributions still linger from entrepreneurial Jews of the past.
