Watch Thunder in Guyana

This documentary is about a Jewish girl's rise to become President of Guyana, a South American country, where Janet Rosenberg Jagan pursued her dream of service to the people. At university, she met a young man from Guyana and they soon discovered mutual interests in Marxist politics. Cheddi Jagan and Janet fell in love and when he returned to Guyana, she went with him. Through her tireless efforts to improve life for the poor people of Guyana, she eventually was elected President. When the film was made, she was 82 and still holding an office in the Guyana government.
