Train is a 2008 horror-thriller movie directed by Gideon Raff and produced by Boaz Davidson. The movie stars Thora Birch, Gideon Emery, and Kavan Reece in the lead roles, with Derek Magyar, Gloria Votsis, and Todd Jensen in supporting roles. The movie follows a group of American athletes who travel to Europe for a track-and-field competition. But their trip turns into a nightmare when they board a train that takes them to an unknown destination and they become the prey of a sadistic killer.

As the movie begins, we are introduced to the protagonist, Alex (Thora Birch), a young American athlete who is part of a group of six athletes heading to Europe for a track-and-field competition. The group includes her boyfriend, Todd (Kavan Reece), and their coach, Brian (Derek Magyar), along with three other teammates. The group boards a train in Germany, but soon realizes they are on the wrong train. When they try to get off, they find themselves locked in and unable to get out.

As the train travels through the countryside, the athletes start to become suspicious when they notice strange things happening around them. They are unable to make any contact with the outside world and there is no one on the train except for a creepy railroad employee (Gideon Emery). The group soon realizes that they are not alone on the train and that they are being targeted by a sadistic killer who is hunting them down one by one.

The killer, known as The Man in the Suit, is a mysterious figure who wears a black jacket and a gas mask. He is armed with a knife and is bent on killing everyone on the train. The group tries to escape and fight back, but they are outnumbered and outmatched. The tension and fear mount as the killer picks them off one by one. Who will survive and make it off the train alive?

The movie builds up the suspense gradually, creating an atmosphere of claustrophobia and dread on the train. The characters are well fleshed out and the acting is generally good. Thora Birch delivers a strong performance as the determined and resourceful Alex, who is determined to survive at any cost. Kavan Reece also gives a good performance as Todd, Alex's boyfriend, who tries to protect her and the others from the killer.

The direction and cinematography are impressive, with some tense and suspenseful scenes that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The use of shadows and lighting is particularly effective in creating a creepy and unsettling atmosphere.

The movie also explores some deeper themes and issues, such as the vulnerability of young people in an unfamiliar environment, the dangers of blind trust, and the nature of evil. The killer is not just a psychopath, but a symbol of the darkness that lurks within us all.

In conclusion, Train is a gripping and intense horror-thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. With strong performances and effective direction, it is a must-watch for fans of the genre. However, it is not for the faint-hearted, as it contains some gruesome and disturbing scenes. But if you can stomach it, Train is definitely worth the ride.

Train is a 2009 horror movie. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.7.
