Two Weeks is a heartrending family drama from 2006 that follows the emotional journey of four adult siblings who reunite at their childhood home when their mother is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Sally Field plays Anita Bergman, a single mother who has just received the devastating news that she has only two weeks to live. Her four children, Keith (Ben Chaplin), Emily (Julianne Nicholson), Barry (Glenn Howerton), and Matthew (Tom Cavanagh), are all struggling to come to terms with their mother's illness and the fact that they will soon lose her forever.

As they gather around their mother's bedside, memories of their childhood come flooding back, and old wounds are reopened. Keith, the eldest of the siblings, is carrying a deep-seated resentment towards his siblings and mother, which he has hidden for years. Emily, the successful lawyer, is struggling to maintain control of her emotions and her life while trying to be a strong support system for her siblings. Barry, the rebellious black sheep of the family, is still trying to come to terms with the early loss of his father, and Matthew, the baby of the family, is struggling to define himself outside of his mother's shadow.

As the days tick by, the siblings navigate their way through a range of emotions, from anger and resentment to laughter and love, as they confront their past and try to come to terms with the present. Along the way, they are confronted with a range of difficult decisions, from how to deal with their mother's condition to what to do with the family home after she is gone.

Sally Field gives a powerful and emotional performance as Anita, a mother who is struggling to come to terms with her own mortality and the impact that her illness is having on her children. Ben Chaplin is equally compelling as Keith, the sibling with the most emotional baggage, and Julianne Nicholson is excellent as the pragmatic Emily, who is trying to keep everything together.

The film is a poignant exploration of family dynamics, grief, and the complex emotions that arise when a loved one is nearing the end of their life. Director Steve Stockman does an excellent job of capturing the raw emotion and intense personal struggles of each character, without ever becoming overly sentimental or melodramatic.

The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Clea DuVall as the siblings' childhood friend, who returns to offer her support, and Michael Hyatt as Anita's best friend and nurse, who provides a much-needed dose of humor and practicality in the face of such overwhelming emotion.

Two Weeks is a beautifully crafted and deeply affecting film that highlights the importance of family, forgiveness, and the power of love in the face of personal tragedy. Its poignant message is sure to resonate with anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, and its superb cast and direction make it a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

Two Weeks is a 2006 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.4 and a MetaScore of 44.
