Vulgaria is a 2012 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Pang Ho Cheung. The movie features Chapman To as a struggling movie producer named To Wai-Cheung. He is desperate for a big hit to help him get out of debt and back on top. To Wai-Cheung gets a chance to make a comeback when he is approached by a wealthy businessman named Tyrannosaurus (Ronald Cheng) who wants him to produce a pornographic film.

Despite his initial reservations, To Wai-Cheung agrees to take on the project, and he quickly realizes that producing a porno is a lot harder than he anticipated. The film takes a comedic look at the world of adult entertainment in Hong Kong, and it is filled with absurd and over-the-top characters.

One of the standout performances in the movie is from Kristal Tin, who plays the lead actress in the pornographic film. She is a veteran actress who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Her character is a parody of the stereotypical porn star- she is dim-witted and overly flirtatious, but always willing to perform.

As the film progresses, To Wai-Cheung runs into a variety of obstacles, including a rival filmmaker who wants to sabotage his project, and a temperamental actress who refuses to take off her clothes. The film is filled with twists and turns, and it keeps the audience guessing until the very end.

Despite its controversial subject matter, Vulgaria is a hilarious and entertaining film. It uses its raunchy premise to lampoon the Hong Kong film industry and other topics like censorship, piracy, and the pressure to succeed.

The movie's humor is not for everyone, as it features a lot of graphic language, sex jokes, and nudity. However, for those who don't mind the vulgar humor, this film is a refreshing change of pace from the sanitized comedies that are often released by Hong Kong studios.

What sets Vulgaria apart from other comedies is the way it blends various genres together. The film takes elements from heist movies, gangster flicks, and romantic comedies, and combines them into a unique and entertaining package. Pang Ho Cheung manages to keep the film from feeling disjointed, and he creates a cohesive story that is both funny and engaging.

Overall, Vulgaria is a great film for fans of Hong Kong cinema and fans of comedies in general. It is a delightful romp through the underbelly of the film industry, and it features great performances from the entire cast. Although it may not be for everyone, it is a hilarious and well-crafted film that is definitely worth watching.
