Waking Sleeping Beauty tells the story of the people who made it their job to revive the "sleeping beauty" that is Walt Disney Studios. This film covers the history of Walt Disney's animation department from the mid-eighties to the mid-nineties as the department got back on top. The documentary explores the creation of classic films such as The Lion King and Aladdin which made Disney popular in the hearts of children once again.
