Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows is a 1968 American comedy film directed by James Neilson and starring Rosalind Russell, Stella Stevens, and Binnie Barnes. It is a sequel to the 1966 film The Trouble with Angels, which was also directed by Neilson and starred Russell. The film was based on the 1962 novel Life with Mother Superior by Jane Trahey.

The story follows a group of Catholic schoolgirls from St. Francis Academy who embark on a bus trip to California to attend a national youth festival. Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) accompanies them on their journey, as does a young novice, Sister George (Susan Saint James). Along the way, they encounter a group of hippies, a motorcycle gang, and a group of nuns on a similar mission.

The trip is not without its challenges. The girls get lost, their bus breaks down, and they are arrested for hitchhiking. Mother Superior is also challenged by the rebellious attitude of one of the girls, Rosa (Barbara Hunter), who is bent on causing trouble. Meanwhile, Sister George becomes romantically involved with a young man named Harry (Robert Taylor).

Despite these obstacles, the group eventually arrives in California, where they participate in the youth festival and meet with the Pope. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, faith, and the importance of living by their values.

The film is a lighthearted comedy that touches on a variety of themes, including the generation gap, the counterculture movement, and the changing attitudes towards religion and authority in the 1960s. It features a strong cast of talented actresses, including Rosalind Russell as the wise and caring Mother Superior, Stella Stevens as the flamboyant swinger Sister George, and Binnie Barnes as the quirky, lovable Sister Celestine.

Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows is a fun and engaging film that offers a unique perspective on the social and cultural changes of the 1960s. It has become a classic of its era and continues to entertain audiences today with its timeless message about the power of faith and the importance of standing up for what you believe in.
