White Noise is a 2005 supernatural thriller starring Michael Keaton, Deborah Kara Unger, and Ian McNeice. The movie is about a man named Jonathan Rivers (Keaton), a successful architect who leads a happy life with his wife Anna (Unger) and son Mike. However, their happy family life is suddenly shattered when Anna dies in a freak accident. Jonathan is devastated and struggles to cope with the loss of his beloved wife. One day, he receives a call from a man named Raymond Price (McNeice), who claims to be a researcher into electronic voice phenomena (EVP).

Raymond tells Jonathan that he has been receiving messages from Anna's spirit through white noise on his television set, and encourages Jonathan to use his technical expertise to investigate the phenomenon further.

Initially skeptical, Jonathan decides to explore the possibility that his dead wife is trying to contact him, and begins to experiment with EVP himself. He becomes obsessed with the mysterious voices that he hears through the static, and starts to neglect his work and his relationships with his friends and family.

As he delves deeper into the world of EVP, Jonathan begins to uncover a sinister side to the phenomenon. He discovers that EVP messages can be used for more than just communication with the dead, and that there are dark forces at work trying to manipulate the living through the use of technology.

As the movie progresses, Jonathan becomes more and more obsessed with EVP, and begins to spiral out of control. He encounters a number of eerie and unsettling events, and begins to question his own sanity.

In the end, Jonathan must confront the true nature of EVP and the forces that are using it for their own gain. Along the way, he must come to terms with his grief and find a way to move on from the tragedy that has haunted him for so long.
