Watch Wild Bill

Young Jack McCall (David Arquette) is after Wild Bill Hickok (Jeff Bridges) and has sworn to kill the famous gunman and lawman for leaving his mother. Wild Bill is losing his eyesight, and his opium habit and personal demons have made him vulnerable. Calamity Jane (Ellen Barkin) loves him but he doesn't love her. Notable performances in the film are those involving Buffalo Bill Cody (Keith Carradine), California Joe (James Gammon), and Charley Prince (John Hurt), who appears in the film as Bill's friend and also narrates the film.

Diane Lane and Christina Applegate also appear in this film. Dime novels and the sensational reporting of the times created legends, and the real men behind them had conflicts attempting to live up to.
