Wild Cherry is a 2009 romantic comedy film directed by Dana Lustig and starring Rumer Willis, Tania Raymonde, and Kristin Cavallari. The movie centers around the character of Helen McNicol, played by Rumer Willis, a shy and studious high school student who has never had a boyfriend. Her best friends, Trish and Katie, played by Tania Raymonde and Kristin Cavallari, are both popular and experienced in matters of love and dating, and decide to help Helen lose her virginity before they all go off to college.

The film opens with Helen preparing for her valedictorian speech at her high school graduation. Amidst the hopes and dreams of her fellow graduates, Helen confesses to her nervousness about her lack of romantic experience. Encouraged by Trish and Katie, she decides that she wants to lose her virginity before college and sets her sights on Joel, the school's resident bad boy.

Despite his reputation, Joel proves to be a surprisingly gentle and attentive lover, and Helen is thrilled to have finally experienced physical intimacy. However, when Joel reveals that he has no interest in a romantic relationship, Helen is devastated and feels used.

Determined not to let the experience define her, Helen throws herself into preparing for college and begins to explore her own sexuality with the help of her friends. She also becomes involved in a feminist group on campus and begins to question the double standards of sexual behavior for men and women.

As the school year progresses, Helen finds herself falling for a sweet and nerdy classmate named Griff, played by Ryan Merriman. Griff is everything that Joel was not: kind, considerate, and interested in a real relationship. However, Helen's fear of being hurt again and her lingering feelings for Joel cause her to push Griff away.

In the end, Helen must choose between succumbing to her fears and risking heartbreak with Griff, or clinging to her past experiences and missing out on a chance at real love. Along the way, she learns valuable lessons about self-acceptance and the importance of finding someone who values her for who she truly is.

The movie is a classic coming-of-age story, chronicling the ups and downs of teenage love and sexuality. It deals with issues that are relatable to young adults everywhere, including the pressure to conform to social norms, the fear of rejection, and the importance of self-worth. The performances from the main cast are solid, with Rumer Willis delivering a strong portrayal of a young woman navigating the tricky waters of romance and sexuality. Tania Raymonde and Kristin Cavallari provide excellent support as her loyal and occasionally misguided friends, and Ryan Merriman brings a refreshing innocence to his role as Griff.

While it may not be a groundbreaking film, Wild Cherry is an entertaining and relatable look at the defining moments of adolescence. The witty dialogue and endearing characters make it an enjoyable watch, particularly for anyone who has ever found themselves struggling to find their place in the world of love and relationships. If you're a fan of coming-of-age stories or romantic comedies, Wild Cherry is definitely worth checking out.
