Alexander Skarsgard Splits With Kate Bosworth, 'True Blood' Fans Swoon

Just as things were starting to look good (at least romantically) for Eric Northman on "True Blood," the actor who plays him has a bit of bad luck in love: Alexander Skarsgard has split from his girlfriend Kate Bosworth.

Bosworth, who has recently appeared in "Superman Returns" and "21," was formerly romantically linked to Orlando Bloom, who is now married to Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr. Bosworth and Skarsgard co-starred in "Straw Dogs," and have been in a relationship for the past two years.

Us Weekly reports that the breakup was mutual, and that it actually happened "a while ago." So it seems as though Skarsgard has been on the market for some time. Cue the swoons from "True Blood" fans...
