'America's Got Talent': Watch All the Season Six Winner's Performances
Car-washing soul man Landau Eugene Murphy just got a big-ass promotion.
The tall, dreadlocked black man who sounds an awful lot like the reincarnation of Frank Sinatra (and had previously washed cars part-time at an auto dealer) won the $1 million prize and a headlining gig at Caesar's Palace last month after winning season six of "America's Got Talent."
Far from a Susan Boyle type, the lithe, stylish Murphy looks very much the artist and musician, but his uncanny ability to channel the spirit of Ol' Blue Eyes was surprising to say the least, and the depth of vocal talent he displayed throughout the competition helped ultiimately win over audiences.
Murphy beat out teen rock group PopLyfe, the glowing dance team Team iLuminate, and the shadowy dance troupe Silhouettes, all of whom will also perform as opening acts at Caesar's.
The public cast their votes for Murphy's spot-on performance of "My Way" on Tuesday, and he wowed the crowd with a duet with Patti LaBelle last night of the song "You're All I Need to Get By."
