Excellent or Totally Bogus? Script for Brand New 'Bill & Ted' Film Gets Finished Six Weeks Early, Keanu Reeves On Board
Without them, Harold and Kumar never got to White Castle.
Without them . . . Dude, nobody cares where Jesse and Chester's car went.
Their adventure? Excellent. Their journey? Bogus. The original two idiots on a mission, they are . . .
Come on, you know the words . . .
Bill S. Preston, Esquire! "Ted" Theodore Logan! And if Alex "Bill" Winter has any say, they are once more . . . WYLD STALLYNS!
According to WorstPreviews.com, Winter confirmed via his Twitter that he and Keanu "Ted" Reeves have a finished script for a third "Bill & Ted" installment from the duo of scribes behind 1989 cult legend "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and its not-as-well-received sequel "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey," Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
"Just got the script. And now to read . . ." Winter wrote.
It was just three weeks ago that Yidio reported Reeves had claimed it would be six weeks until the pair received a finished script. He described the plot as picking up where Bogus Journey left off.
"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened. So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back," Reeves said.
Winter himself has debunked several times a long-held urban legend that the Pauley Shore abomination Bio-Dome was the original third installment. But with a trilogy now to complete, that begs a question: from the two movies through the awesome '90s Saturday-morning cartoon Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures, there has only been one Rufus: George Carlin.
With the great Carlin sadly departed, are we prepared for an adventure without their most-excellent phonebooth-flier?
