Kanye West Compares Himself to Hilter
Oh Kanye West, what will you say next? Apparently, that answer includes Adolf Hilter. The rapper might make awesome decisions in bike stores, but he certainly doesn't whenever he gets anywhere near a stage--or a microphone.
Getting on stage at the Big Chill music festival on Saturday night in England, West let out another classic Kanye tirade.
"I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm f--ing insane, like I'm Hitler," he said. "One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did."
Oh Kanye. I think what Hitler did was a little more serious than stage diving Taylor Swift at the MTV Music awards. Which is probably why the crowd at the musical festival boo'd this woe-is-me comparison.
Whenever West opens his mouth the media is sure to follow, but in this case he might have shot his mouth off at the exact wrong moment. With the release of his collorboration with Jay-Z "Watch the Throne" today the headlines should have all been about how awesome his new song was. Instead now we're talking about Hilter for some reason.
Despite mostly making his own problems, West didn't let the media off the hook onstage either. He blamed media scrunity for the recent deaths of fellow artists.
"This is for [Alexander] McQueen, for Amy [Winehouse], for Michael [Jackson] and for all the media, can you lighten up on all your artists that are still here?" he asked a cheering crowd.
What West might be forgetting is that if he stopped saying stupid stuff, the media would have nothing to report. Still, I don't want to live in a world where Kanye West doesn't feel the need to inform us that "fur pillows are hard to actually sleep on". Do you?
What do you think of Kanye West's comments?
