NBC Upfront: Final '30 Rock' Season Official, Fall 2012 Lineup Announced

NBC Upfront: Final '30 Rock' Season Official, Fall 2012 Lineup Announced Monday's NBC upfront presentation in New York made it official along with the network's Fall 2012 lineup: "30 Rock" is at its end.

NBC honcho Robert Greenblatt confirmed to media that the seventh season starring Tracy Morgan, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin will be a 13-episode affair, E! News reports. He didn't address it directly, but it's entirely possible the order was truncated because of the timing of Fey's second pregnancy. The series will be sent off into the sunset with a one-hour series finale.

"We think the world of Tina Fey," he said. As of Sunday, NBC had not yet publicly confirmed the show's fate, but various outlets had all but deduced by Monday that the meta-comedy taking place behind the scenes of the fictitious "The Tracy Jordan Show" was done after a season of series-low ratings.

Likewise, Greenblatt confirmed directly what was reported late last week: despite spending season after season on the bubble and taking a sudden mid-season 2012 hiatus, "Community" will be back for a half-season order of its own.

According to Paste Magazine, the current Thursday-night lineup returns mostly intact. In addition to "30 Rock", NBC also welcomes back "Up All Night", "The Office" and "Parks & Recreation". Meanwhile, "Community" has been bumped from Thursdays to be led in by "Whitney" and followed by "Grimm" on Fridays. Despite no announcement of a talked-about summer season of "The Voice", the hit NBC talent search returns to anchor Monday and Tuesday nights.

Joining the fray will be freshman comedies "Animal Practice", "Guys With Kids", "Go On" and "Next Caller" among others, along with five new dramas led by J.J. Abrams' "Revolution".
