Watch the Trailer For the September 11th Drama 'Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close'

Watch the Trailer For the September 11th Drama 'Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close' With a Christmas Day head-to-head box office showdown with Steven Spielberg's "War Horse" nearing, let's have a good look at the 9/11 drama "Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close," whose trailer recently made its debut on iTunes.

Based on the 2005 novel by Jonathan Safron Foer, the story is told through the eyes of 10-year-old Oskar Schell, played by Thomas Horn. After losing his father (Tom Hanks) in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, he finds a key hidden within a vase belonging to his father and mother (Sandra Bullock).

It belongs to a lockbox that Oskar's father left him, and the young boy journeys across New York City in hopes of finding it and learning its meaning. Director Stephen Daldry and producer Scott Rudin reportedly worked for fives to get the movie made.

It was test-screened in New York City on Sept. 25, two weeks to the day after the United States marked the 10-year anniversary of the most devastating terrorist attack ever committed on American soil.

The film also stars John Goodman, Max von Sydow, Jeffrey Wright, and James Gandolfini. After its limited-release opening on Christmas Day, it will be released widely on Jan. 20, 2012.
