Watch Robert Pattinson Sleep Around in the 'Bel Ami' Trailer (VIDEO)

"Breaking Dawn" has already come and gone... at least the first part has. So the stars of the movie are starting to branch into other roles and, possibly in an attempt to avoid typecasting, Robert Pattinson seems to be going after roles that are very different from Edward Cullen.

You can see evidence of that in the brand-new trailer for "Bel Ami," an adaptation that stars Pattinson as a handsome former soldier who attempts to gain power and wealth by manipulating the most influential women in Paris.

The trailer promises some steamy stuff: Pattinson seduces Kristin Scott Thomas, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci over the course of the trailer, and manages to do some yelling and screaming while he's at it. The character is definitely a departure from Edward, and seems to afford more opportunities for Pattinson to emote a little. Also, he doesn't sparkle in the sunlight!

Question, though: between this and "Water for Elephants," what's with Pattinson's new roles having him sleep with married women? Just curious.
