Showtime's 'Homeland' Premieres Strong after 'Dexter': Watch the Full First Episode Here!
Did you miss the premiere of Showtime's "Homeland" last night? If so, you just missed out on one of the network's biggest shows in recent history!
The night started off with the triumphant return of "Dexter," which premiered to a record-setting 2.2 million, up nearly 25% from last year's season five premiere.
That strong lead-in helped "Homeland" to gather 1.08 million viewers in its premiere, narrowly beating out the premiere of "The Borgias" (1.06 million) in viewership.
That makes "Homeland" the biggest Showtime premiere since all the way back in 2003, when "Dead Like Me" premiered to a strong 1.11 million. But when you factor in online and on-demand viewing, "Homeland"s' ratings are actually closer to 2.8 million, a remarkable number for the new series.
Speaking of online viewing, if you are one of those who missed the premiere last night, we have you covered. Showtime promoted the heck out of "Homeland," even going so far as to make the full first episode available online! Check out the full pilot (edited for content, unfortunately... you'll have to watch on Showtime for the unedited version) below:
