'Vampire Diaries' Spin-Off News: Natasha Henstridge and Louis Hunter Join 'Secret Circle'
"The Secret Circle," the announced spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries," is starting to come together! Two new names have been added to the cast: Natasha Henstridge and Louis Hunter.
Hunter is something of an unknown, at least to U.S. audiences: the Aussie actor starred in the series "Out of the Blue" in Australia back in 2008. Hunter has been cast in the role of Nick Armstrong, described as a "bad boy" and the neighbor of our heroine Cassie.
Henstridge is a more recognizable name, as the actress made a big splash in 1995 when she starred in the sci-fi horror flick "Species." Since then, Henstridge has appeared in movies like "The Whole Nine Yards" and TV shows like "Eli Stone."
Henstridge has been cast as Dawn Chamberlain, the vice principal of the New Salem High School that Cassie will attend. Dawn isn't an immediate member of the witches' circle, but will be aware of the goings-on of the coven.
These two new cast members join "Life Unexpected" star Britt Robertson (who will play Cassie), "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" star Thomas Dekker, Phoebe Tonkin and Jessica Parker Kennedy in the new show about a group of young witches.
