VIDEO: Lindsay Lohan Shoots Awkward 15-Second Commercial While Under House Arrest
Lindsay Lohan has been getting down to business during her house arrest, reading scripts in her backyard in the hopes of landing a new role when she earns her freedom. Lohan has even found a way to earn some money without leaving her living room: awkward, low-budget commercials!
Seeing the home-video-style commercial with its poor lighting and bad sound quality is one thing, the fact that it's for a sketchy website (Beezid.com) is another, but the real surprise is how much Lohan was paid for 15 seconds of work!
Apparently, Lohan was originally offered $25,000 for the job, but refused it. When they came back offering an extra $10,000 credit to use on the site, though, Lindsay just couldn't say no. At first, 25 grand seems like a low offer for someone of Lohan's profile to star in a commercial. But when you see how it was done, it makes a bit more sense.
The camera looks like it's handheld, and zooms in awkwardly as the commercial begins. Lohan is seated on her couch, in low light, without a microphone in sight, which makes her voice echo into the tinny mic attached to the camera. Lindsay delivers about ten seconds of dialogue talking about how she discovered Beezid.com...and that's it. All in all, it looks like the whole thing took less than five minutes to shoot. That's a pretty nice way to make $35,000.
Check out the video below. Keep makin' that bread, Lindsay!
Oh, and by the way, never ever ever use a penny-bidding site.
