VIDEO: Never-Before-Seen Footage from the Original 'Star Wars' Movies

VIDEO: Never-Before-Seen Footage from the Original 'Star Wars' Movies Another year, another re-release of the "Star Wars" movies. My blood pressure is still elevated from back when George Lucas re-released the original trilogy as the "Special Edition" and put Hayden flippin' Christensen in at the end of "Return of the Jedi."

But the Blu-Ray release of the series might actually brings some exciting new goodies, as teased by this sizzle reel featuring never-before-seen footage from the original "Star Wars" trilogy.

The clip of Luke making his lightsaber is one we've seen before (though I didn't notice the self-assuring nod at the end), but there's a lot of new stuff with Han, Leia and Chewie fighting stormtroopers, R2D2 escaping the wrath of a Wampa (that yeti-looking guy), and a lot of very dusty-looking footage from what must be Tattooine.

All of these scenes are supposedly going to be included with the Blu-Ray release of the "Star Wars" saga, but there's no word yet as to whether they'll be inserted into the 3D theatrical re-release.
