Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon Hit NYC for Last Night's 'Water for Elephants' Premiere (Watch Interview) New York City was the venue for last night's world premiere of "Water for Elephants." Fans came in droves and waited in the pouring rain to catch a glimpse of Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, but mostly Robert Pattinson.

The dazzling duo signed autographs for the fans before walking the carpet together. Witherspoon told reporters, "When you make movies you don't get to meet your audience at all, you know you sometimes sit in the back of a theater but this is an opportunity to really connect with the fans and actually see who they are."

Always the hostess with the mostess, Witherspoon even sent pizza to the loyal crowd to help them brave the storm!

The tiny blonde beauty wore a sexy white Jason Wu creation and Pattinson sizzled in a suit. "Elephants" ringmaster Christoph Waltz chatted with reporters as he made his way down the carpet telling them he had never read the best-selling book before being asked to work on the project.

Other celebs who walked the carpet include Julia Stiles, Gina Gershon and the novel's author Sara Gruen. The always camera-shy Kristen Stewart snuck in to the screening without a word to the paps!

Sure to be a box office success, "Water for Elephants" hits theaters April 22.
