Watch St. Louis Rams

Founded:Established 1936
Stadium Name:Edward Jones Dome

The NFL Rams have a long and storied history of fielding teams led by great quarterbacks. Beginning as the Cleveland Rams, the team moved out to the west coast to Los Angeles in 1946 to play in the 103,000-seat Memorial Coliseum. It was there that two Hall-of-Fame quarterbacks, Bob Waterfield and Norm Van Brocklin, first brought glory and championships to the franchise. Roman Gabriel and Jim Everett followed and continued to create the fan interest that sold tickets to bring the crowds into watch the L.A. Rams.

After their tenure, the team declined and lost the support of the city. Team owner Georgia Frontiere moved the Rams to St. Louis in 1995 and the search for a new quarterback began in earnest. Little-known Kurt Warner stepped forward four years later to lead the team to greatness once again. With two league MVP awards and a Super Bowl Championship under his belt, Warner moved on to Arizona. After Marc Bulgar had an eight-year run, Sam Bradford stepped up to the starting position. Plagued with injuries, Bradford was traded and former University of Arizona star Nick Foles was brought in to lead the Rams for the 2015 season.

Opening against last year’s Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks and closing the 16-game regular season against the always powerful San Francisco 49ers, the Rams face a formidable schedule. Hopefully the fans in St. Louis, Missouri, will turn out to watch and support the Rams as they try and advance to the NFL playoffs this year.
