10 O'Clock Live was a British television show that aired on Channel 4 from 2011 to 2013. It was a satirical current affairs program hosted by Charlie Brooker, Jimmy Carr, and Lauren Laverne. The show ran for three seasons and each season had around 15 episodes. The show was unique in that it covered current news topics but with a humorous and satirical spin. The hosts would discuss the biggest stories of the week and provide their own comedic commentary. They would also invite guests to the show to debate and discuss the week's news.

Each episode of 10 O'Clock Live began with a monologue from one of the hosts, usually Charlie Brooker or Jimmy Carr. They would set the tone of the episode and joke about the biggest news stories of the week. This would lead into a discussion segment where the hosts would talk about the stories in more depth and provide their own commentary.

One of the most popular segments of the show was called "The Bullshitometer". In this segment, the hosts would fact-check and debunk the most outrageous claims made by politicians and media personalities during the week. They would use a visual aid that showed a scale from "True" to "Bullshit" to rate the validity of these claims.

Another popular segment was called "The American News". In this segment, the hosts would look at the latest news from the United States and provide their own humorous take on it. This segment often focused on the more absurd news stories coming out of America, such as a local town banning yoga pants.

The show also had a segment called "The Top 10", where the hosts would countdown the top 10 news stories of the week. This segment was often filled with jokes and commentary from the hosts about the news stories.

Throughout the show, there were also pre-recorded sketches and interviews with guests. These sketches ranged from fake news reports to comedic skits that highlighted the ridiculousness of some news stories. The interviews with guests were often with politicians or personalities in the media and provided an opportunity for the hosts to question them on current issues.

One of the most memorable moments of 10 O'Clock Live was when the hosts interviewed former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. During the interview, Charlie Brooker asked Brown about a YouTube video that had recently gone viral in which Brown appeared to be muttering under his breath about a voter he had just spoken to. Brown's response was to turn the question around on Brooker, which led to a tense back-and-forth between the two.

Overall, 10 O'Clock Live was a well-received show that provided an entertaining and humorous take on the news of the week. The show's hosts were witty and engaging, and the segments were varied and entertaining. While the show only lasted three seasons, it left a lasting impression on viewers and helped to cement Channel 4's reputation as a platform for cutting-edge and innovative programming.
