Max and Caroline find themselves at odds with Deke's parents, who have zero tolerance for anything that doesn't fit their traditional mold. Meanwhile, the diner gang looks for ways to keep occupied without power during a storm.

In the midst of a power outage caused by a storm, Max and Caroline decide to have a little fun and play some games with their diner friends, Han and Earl, while also trying to figure out how to save some of their perishable food. However, things quickly become complicated when Deke's parents unexpectedly show up at the diner.

Deke's parents, who are traditional, wealthy and successful, are very different from Max and Caroline. They view their son's relationship with Max as unconventional and worry about his future. The tension between the two groups is palpable, with Deke stuck in the middle.

Despite Caroline's best efforts to be cordial and make a good impression, Deke's parents are less than impressed with Max and Caroline's lifestyle and the fact that their business is struggling. Caroline even goes so far as to throw out all of her "non-traditional" outfits and replace them with more conservative clothing in an effort to win over Deke's parents.

In the midst of this drama, Han and Earl come up with the idea to run their own speakeasy in the basement of the diner, using a generator to power the lights and some music. The speakeasy is a hit, with everyone from the diner regulars to Deke's parents getting in on the action.

As the night goes on, tensions continue to run high between Deke's parents and Max and Caroline, culminating in a heated argument in the middle of the speakeasy. However, when the generator runs out of gas and the music stops, everyone is forced to face their differences and come together to figure out how to survive the rest of the storm without power.

In the end, Max and Caroline are able to make amends with Deke's parents, and Deke is able to stand up for himself and his relationship with Max. The power eventually comes back on, and the group is able to continue partying in the speakeasy.

Overall, this episode of 2 Broke Girls showcases the tension that can arise between different social classes and lifestyles, and how important it is to find common ground and come together, especially in difficult situations. There's also plenty of humor and hijinks, as is typical of the show, making for an enjoyable viewing experience.
