Watch 8 Boys and Wanting a Girl

Reportedly, this documentary was an episode in a television series called Cutting Edge (1990). It was broadcast in February, 2010. Directed by Vivianne Howard and narrated by Hermione Gulliford, 8 Boys and Wanting a Girl interviews four families in which mothers are raising a number of boys, but have not been able to raise any daughters. For instance, one of the women and her husband have a bustling household of eight active sons, but the mother feels incomplete because she has been unable to give birth to a daughter. The documentary was filmed on location in England and New York.
