Ep 12. Liars

As the title suggests, "Liars" is all about secrets and deceit. The episode begins with Naomi struggling to keep her promise to Alec about keeping their relationship a secret. She finds herself avoiding her friends and making excuses for her strange behavior. Despite her efforts, Navid and Max begin to catch on to the fact that something is going on. They decide to take matters into their own hands and follow her to a hotel where they catch her in the act.

While Naomi is trying to keep her affair with Alec under wraps, Adrianna is struggling with her own secrets. She's still keeping her relationship with Gia a secret, even though she knows it's wrong. Her guilt becomes overwhelming when her mom comes to town and she's forced to come out to her. Her mom is supportive but Adrianna still feels like she's letting people down.

Meanwhile, Liam is still trying to process the fact that Vanessa is dead. He goes to visit her sister in order to find some sort of closure. While he's there, he learns that Vanessa had been lying to him about her past. This revelation brings up a lot of questions about who Vanessa really was and what kind of person she had been. Liam begins to suspect that there's more to the story and sets out to find the truth.

Annie is also struggling with a lie of her own. She's been keeping her relationship with Caleb a secret from her friends. She's afraid that they won't approve of her dating someone so much older. The truth comes out when Caleb shows up to her class and her friends see them together. They're shocked but supportive and Annie is relieved to finally be able to be honest with them.

At the end of the episode, all of these secrets and lies come to a head. Naomi confesses to Navid and Max about her relationship with Alec. They're hurt and angry but also relieved to finally know the truth. Adrianna comes out to the rest of the group about her relationship with Gia. They're all surprised but supportive and happy for her. Liam confronts Vanessa's sister about the lies she's been telling him and finally gets some closure about her death. And Annie decides to go public with her relationship with Caleb, despite the age difference.

"Liars" is a classic episode of 90210 that showcases the drama and complexity of teenage relationships. It's a reminder that secrets and lies can cause more harm than good, but that being honest with the people we care about can be scary but ultimately worth it. The episode ends on a hopeful note, with each character coming clean and the group coming together to offer support and love.
