Absolutely Fabulous, commonly known as Ab Fab, is a British sitcom that aired on the BBC from 1992 until 2012. The series followed the lives of Edina Monsoon, a fashion PR executive, and Patsy Stone, a chain-smoking fashion editor, as they lived their luxurious and over-the-top lifestyles in London.

The show was widely popular during its original run and has since become a cult classic. Fans would be delighted to know that the show returned for Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Specials, which aired in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

The first Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Special, titled "Identity," see the return of the show's main cast members, including Jennifer Saunders as Edina, Joanna Lumley as Patsy, Julia Sawalha as Edina's daughter, Saffron and June Whitfield as Edina's mother. The plot sees Edina and Patsy revive their careers by launching a new perfume, but they face stiff competition from another celebrity designer. Along the way, the duo faces several obstacles, from the police to angry activists.

The second Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Special, titled "Job," follows Edina and Patsy as they try to earn some extra cash for the holidays. Edina decides to hire herself out as a domestic worker and ends up working at the home of a wealthy banker, while Patsy takes a job as a Christmas temp at a store.

The two storylines converge in a hilarious way, as Edina tries to hide her job from her friends and Patsy takes advantage of her position to steal merchandise. Meanwhile, Saffron prepares to have a baby, and Edina's mother looks for love using an online dating site.

Both specials feature the same biting humour and tongue-in-cheek commentary on the fashion industry and the shallow nature of celebrity culture that made the original series so beloved. Fans will also be glad to know that the main characters stay true to their classic personas, with Edina and Patsy engaging in their usual antics, such as drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and smoking in inappropriate places.

In addition to the main cast, the special also features several celebrity cameos, including Jerry Hall, Lulu and Emma Bunton, who all appear as themselves. The show's creator, Jennifer Saunders, has also stated that the Christmas specials were a way to pay homage to the celebrities who helped make the original show a success.

Overall, the Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Specials are a must-watch for fans of the original series, as well as those who enjoy satirical and irreverent comedies. The show's humour may not be for everyone, but those who appreciate its brand of comedy will find plenty to laugh at in these specials.

Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Specials is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (2 episodes). The series first aired on December 27, 2002.
