Access Granted was a television show that aired on BET from 2000 to 2008. The show's format was a behind-the-scenes look at the music video production process. Each episode focused on a specific music video and showed the entire process from the song's inception to the final product.

Access Granted was hosted by various hip-hop artists, including T.I., Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, and Ludacris. The hosts would introduce the music video and then take the viewer through the entire process of creating it.

The show's main focus was on the video production process. The viewer got to see the artist and director talking about the concept and storyboarding the video. They would then move on to the casting process where the director would choose the actors and extras for the video. The viewer would also get to see the set design and costume selection process.

Once the visuals were in place, the viewer got to see the actual filming of the video. This was always the most exciting part of the show as the artist would be performing in front of the camera and the viewer would get to see how it all came together. The viewer would also get a sense of the technical aspects of video production such as lighting and sound design.

After the filming was complete, the post-production process began. This was where the video was edited, special effects were added, and the final touches were put in place to make the video ready for public consumption. The viewer got to see how the director and editor worked together to create the final product.

Throughout the process, the host was on hand to interview both the artist and the director. These interviews gave the viewer a sense of what the artist was trying to convey with the video and how the director was helping them achieve that vision.

One of the most interesting aspects of Access Granted was the level of access the viewer got to the artist. Not only were they seeing the video production process, but they were also getting to see the artist in a more casual and candid setting. Whether it was backstage before a concert or just kicking back in the green room, the viewer got to see the artist in a way they wouldn't normally be able to.

The show also had a contest element to it. After each episode, viewers could vote on their favorite music video and the winning video would be played on BET. This added an extra level of engagement for the viewer and created a sense of community within the audience.

Overall, Access Granted was an innovative show that pulled back the curtain on the music video production process. The viewer got to see the entire process from start to finish and got an inside look at the artist and director's creative process. The show was hosted by some of the biggest names in hip-hop and gave the viewer access to their favorite artists in a way they wouldn't normally be able to.
