Ep 12. Checkmate

Finn and Jake embark on another thrilling adventure in season 9 episode 12 of Adventure Time, titled "Checkmate."

Determined to stop the Ice Thing, Finn, and Jake attempt to take on the Ice King, but he proves to be too powerful. Knowing that they can't defeat him alone, they enlist the help of the other princesses of Ooo.

The princesses each bring their unique talents to the table, and together they devise a plan to defeat the Ice King and the Ice Thing. They manage to corner the Ice King and destroy the helmet-like device that's been controlling his mind.

But just when it seems like they've won, the Ice Thing reveals itself to be a giant snow creature, capable of immense power and destruction. Finn, Jake, and the princesses are no match for the creature, and it seems like they're doomed.

But then, a surprise ally appears in the form of the Ice King's former fiance, Betty. Equipped with a powerful spell, Betty is able to defeat the Ice Thing and free the Ice King from its grasp.

In the end, the Ice King is restored to his former self, and Finn and Jake are once again victorious. The episode concludes with the group heading back to the Treehouse to celebrate their victory, cementing the bond between the characters and reaffirming the power of their friendship.
