Ep 4. The Bends

In Almost Human season 1 episode 4 "The Bends," Detective John Kennex and Dorian investigate a drug case that leads them to a drug cartel working in a high-rise building. The drug, known as "The Bends," is a highly addictive substance that makes users feel invincible. The drug is so dangerous that it causes the user to lose their sense of self-preservation and causes them to do things they wouldn't normally do.

When the detectives arrive at the high-rise building, they are met by the building's security team who are reluctant to let them in. After some convincing, they are allowed to enter the building. The detectives quickly realize that the drug cartel is heavily armed and they are going to have to use all their skills to take them down.

Dorian and Kennex split up to search the building. Dorian uses his advanced robotic capabilities to gather information about the building and the people inside it. Kennex uses his detective skills to search for clues that will lead them to the drug cartel's headquarters.

As they search, they encounter several people who are high on "The Bends." Some of them are violent, while others are delusional. The detectives quickly realize that the drug's effects are worse than they thought.

Meanwhile, Captain Maldonado deals with a politician who is trying to shut down the police department's DRN program. The politician believes that robots are not capable of doing the job of police officers and that they are a waste of money. Maldonado argues that the DRNs are an asset to the police department and that they are an important part of the team.

As the detectives get closer to the drug cartel's headquarters, they realize that they have been set up. They are ambushed by the cartel members and are taken captive. Kennex and Dorian are forced to fight for their lives as they try to escape the building.

In the end, Kennex and Dorian are able to take down the drug cartel and seize the drugs. They arrest the members of the cartel and destroy the remaining drugs.

As the episode ends, Kennex and Dorian reflect on their experience and the dangers of drugs like "The Bends." They also discuss the importance of having each other's backs and how they can rely on each other in life-threatening situations.
