Almost There is a dramedy television show that premiered on Audience Network in 2015. The show focuses on the personal and professional lives of three women - Alex (Maddie Corman), Sam (Trieste Kelly Dunn), and Ziggy (Quinn Shephard) - who are trying to navigate their way through life in their late 30s.

Alex is a successful businesswoman who seems to have it all - a great career, a loving husband, and two beautiful children. However, she's feeling unfulfilled and unhappy with her life and decides to take a break from her job to figure out what she really wants.

Sam is a struggling artist who's been working on her latest painting for years. She's also dealing with a recent breakup and the pressure from her family to settle down and start a family. Sam finds herself drawn to Alex and Ziggy, and the three women form an unexpected bond.

Ziggy is a 17-year-old high school student who's struggling with her own demons. Her father is absent, her mother is an alcoholic, and Ziggy is caught in the middle of their constant fighting. She turns to drugs and alcohol to cope with her problems, but eventually finds solace in the friendship she forms with Alex and Sam.

The show explores themes of friendship, identity, and self-discovery. Each episode focuses on a different character and their struggles, and how they navigate their way through life with the help of their friends. Almost There is a raw and honest portrayal of modern-day women and their struggles, and the complexities of their relationships with each other.

One of the show's strengths is its writing, which is smart and engaging. Each character is well-developed and their struggles feel real and relatable. The show also has a great sense of humor, and the laughs are always grounded in the characters' struggles and vulnerabilities.

The performances by the three leads are also strong. Maddie Corman, Trieste Kelly Dunn, and Quinn Shephard all bring depth and nuance to their characters, and their chemistry together is palpable. The supporting cast is also great, with notable performances from Denis O'Hare and Susie Essman.

Another strength of the show is its visual style. The camerawork is creatively done, with interesting angles and shots that add to the overall feel of the show. The show also uses music in a smart and effective way, with a soundtrack that perfectly captures the mood of the scenes.

There are a few weaknesses to the show, however. One is that the pacing can be slow at times, with some episodes feeling like they drag on a bit too long. Another is that the show's main themes and messages can feel a bit heavy-handed at times, with the characters spelling out their struggles and emotions in a way that feels forced.

Overall, Almost There is a great show that offers an honest and engaging portrayal of modern-day women and their struggles. With smart writing, great performances, and a strong visual style, it's a show that's definitely worth watching.
