America's Got Talent season 11 episode 8 is named Judge Cuts Week 1, which is a continuation of the audition stage of the competition. The episode starts off with a brief recap of the previous episodes, highlighting some of the most memorable performances from the auditions.

The episode opens with a performance by the cast of Cirque du Soleil's "Ka," who perform a spectacular martial arts routine that leaves the judges and audience in awe. The judges - Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B - are then introduced and they reiterate the importance of the Judge Cuts round. This is the stage where the judges have to choose who moves forward to the live shows. They have a difficult task ahead of them as there are many talented acts that have made it through to this round.

Before the first act takes the stage, the judges sit down to discuss their strategy for choosing the acts that will proceed to the live shows. They each have a limited number of golden buzzers that they can use to send a contestant straight through to the live shows without having to go through the rest of the selection process. However, the judges are quick to point out that they won't be using them lightly, and only the most outstanding acts will deserve the coveted buzzer.

The first act up is a young singer named Sophie Dossi, who wows the judges with her acrobatic dancing while singing a rendition of Sia's "Bird Set Free." The judges praise her for her stage presence and unique talent, and she receives a standing ovation from the audience.

Up next, magician Hara busts out some impressive sleight of hand, levitation tricks and card tricks. The judges love his energy and creativity, however, Simon thinks that his tricks need to be bigger and better if he wants to move forward in the competition.

The next few acts include a teenage singer/guitarist, a tap dancing duo, and a husband and wife balancing act who perform their dangerous stunts whilst blindfolded. The judges are impressed with the variety of talents and abilities on display, but they still need to decide who will pass through to the next round.

One standout performer is Sal Valentinetti, who sings a Sinatra-inspired version of "My Way." The New York native brings some of that classic big band feel to the stage, and immediately captivates the judges with his smooth voice and charm.

Another memorable act is musical trio, Edgar, who put a unique spin on a classic tune, The Beatles "Let It Be." Their use of traditional instruments combined with a haunting vocal performance evokes a powerful response from the audience, earning them a standing ovation.

As the episode draws to a close, it's clear that the judges have some tough decisions to make. They huddle together to discuss which acts they think are worthy of moving on to the live shows. With limited spots available, they acknowledge the fact that not everyone can make it through, and some incredibly talented acts will have to be left behind.

Ultimately, the Judge Cuts round is a high-pressure event for both the contestants and the judges. The performers have to give their best performances to stay in the competition, while the judges have the difficult task of choosing who makes it through to the live shows. But with an abundance of talented acts on display, the Judge Cuts round promises to be one of the most entertaining episodes of the season.
